La Crosse Atomic Analog Clock

Synched to the U.S. Atomic Clock - the most precise clock in the world. Never needs to be set or adjusted for daylight savings time.

Time is precisely measured in the United States by the most accurate clock in North America, the Atomic Clock of the US National Institute of Standards and Technology, Time and Frequency Division in Boulder, Colorado. A team of atomic physicists continually measures every second of every day to an accuracy of ten billionths of a second per day. These physicists have created an international standard, measuring a second as 9,192,631,770 vibrations of a Cesium 133 atom in a vacuum. This exact time signal is continuously broadcast at 60 kHz to take advantage of stable longwave radio paths found in that frequency range.

The La Crosse Atomic Clock contains a built-in antenna system that receives the WWVB signal anywhere in North America – A microprocessor activates the receiver and processes the time signal from Colorado. Using these radio signals as its time-keeping mechanism, the La Crosse Atomic Clock always keep precise time. The changeover from standard time to daylight savings time, and vice versa, takes place automatically with the same precision.

Upon activation, minute and hour hands automatically spin until they reach the exact time for your time zone. Can also be set manually at user’s option.
Automatically updates for daylight saving time (on/off option). Includes four time zone settings.

Ideal for schools, offices, churches, shopping malls, hospitals, and other buildings or establishments where changing numerous clocks consumes time and labor.
